Hurlee’s upbeat, infectious house rhythms are the next offering from Shall Not Fade; after featuring on his regular collaborator Paul Rudder’s recent EP, Lonely Days is Hurlee’s first solo outing on the Bristol label.
From the outset this is a floor-filler, with the groove-riding beat of the opening number melting seamlessly into ‘Denver Nights’. Its mesmerising synths are interrupted by fleeting vocals, giving it the soft focus feeling of blissed-out dancefloor conversations. ‘Tiny Bell’ has a funkier edge, a peak time wafter with ever-moving skippy percs.
